It is naturally found in the body as dehydrolipoate or lipoate. Its unique fatty acid thiol structure makes it both fat and water soluble, which allows it to function in the regeneration of Vitamin C and E (powerful antioxidants) & glutathione. ALA has recently been shown to support normal carbohydrate metabolism, detoxification and eye function. Contains no common allergens or artificial colors.
